It is very difficult to break out of that cage. But I like how this video concludes by making the point that whatever philosophy or ideology you agree with you're probably wrong at least in part, and suggests that maybe we should enjoy the absurdity for what it is instead of taking it too seriously.

I don't care if you like Alan Watts or not. Seems a little dramatic to describe watching this video as a "last ditch" attempt at "redeeming" an alcoholic asshole. But if you are curious and want to understand what the fuck he was talking about when you tried watching him before, this video will probably clear up anything you didn't understand.

The above video you didn't watch explains his philosophy in a very clear way. His ramblings always made sense to me. His lectures are much more "fun" and captivating than the boring writings of philosophers like Schaupenhauer or Sarte.

plus if you read the earlier post in this thread theres not going to be boards. and a lot of plumbers own their own biz so they call the shots. quit being so negative, everyone else but you in this thread is rooting for me (no pun intended, chicken)

I like you too, I just dont see this working out unless you somehow become a different person. Don't fake offense, some people just aren't cut out for this type of work - especially people who can't handle a little ball busting. Good luck telling your plumber boss to be less negative when he's firing your ass for showing up late and drunk.

All plumbers assistants work towards becoming plumbers. Generally an apprenticeship board will kick you out if you're not making any progress towards that goal. But I'm betting you get fired before it comes to that.

I sort of doubt you have the worth ethic to make it in the skilled trade, Doug. I could see you as a labourer though.

    Schaupenhauer is far better.

The above video explains his philosophy very clearly if you were still wondering what the fuck he was talking about.

The surface area to volume of a black hole are related as any other sphere is: the volume increases cubically as the surface area increases by a square factor.

There is another implication to this fact: imagine that there is an info items amount of mass in a black hole. Well, the volume and surface area are going to reach a point where their growth is proceeding at an infinitely small rate and approaching but never reaching some finite or possibly bounded infinite number. Perhaps all of existence is simply smeared on the face of some ever expanding black hole, that we call the universe. Perhaps it s this gravitational attraction that is growing the black hole and increasing the surface area at a differential rate to growing the volume, which generates dark energy.

Works of art are a special kind of physical machinery that projects higher-dimensional structures into lower-dimensional spaces for some convenience of perceiving. You can see the way art performs this function by applying the rules of optical perspective to represent a three-dimensional structure on a plane surface.

The art of mathematics presents alternative aspects in the form of tautological equations, each expressing the view from a different frame of reference, such as a=lw, l=a/w, and w=a/l to describe the two-dimensional structure of a square by one- dimensional semantics. All the codices of mathematical equations express different views of the single hyperspacial entity known as the universe; our comprehension of the universal structure is far from complete.

Artists have a vocation to express their perceptions of hyperspacial realities from every point of view that man can reach, at every different time that man can live in, to provide us with handles on universal truths. All the myths and all the religions present us with different pictures of the same hyperspacial entity, and that entity is ourselves.

But what pisses me off is some of the mechanics regarding a gun fight, the way to reload and even shooting from far distances.
The weapons where hard enough to find with the right ammo, by that time you are really frugal with them, thus never get practice.
It ended up mainly NEETS (might be good for you then) were able to be proficient in it.

Tried it again only to get killed by faggots who are so board with the game, fully geared out prob due to cheating, but have nothing else to do.

Now, the new major release, its pretty nice, but… expect to die from dehydration and/or starvation.
All of these servers, completely looted.

My plan is to avoid people and stick to hunting. Trying to find a shotgun currently.

These days I mostly smoke a pipe although I occasionally rip the bong too. I like rolling joints but they seem wasteful and 99% of the time I'm smoking by myself.

I got this game cause I saw it in the xbox store. Seems pretty cool. It's like an apocalypse survival game. Anybody else play it?

Artists, scientists, and mystics who glimpse spirits dimly through the Veils of Maja limn a projection of the eternal entities into the human dimensions of literature, theatre, music, dance, architecture, engineering, philosophy, mathematics, justice, politics, morality --- in a word, culture. Like pictorial art, all cultural artifacts compress hyperspacial structures into fewer dimensions so that ideas are represented in more or less tangible forms. The form is the specialized language of its poet and the meaning of the form is the essence of the myth.
