   My plastic surgeon WILL NOT do my reconstructive breast surgery unless I am smoke free for at least a month. Who TF is he?…….God?, I don’t think so. Who is he to decide which women can have reconstructive breast surgery after a mastectomy? “You’re a smoker? No boob for you!” I call BS.    Don’t think it’s right, but I get it. It’s all about blood flow. Nicotine is a vasoconstrictor, so it inhibits blood flow. Plastic surgery relies heavily on blood flow to rebuild the new tissue. I get it. I just feel bad for women who can’t do it.
