There was a scene in DS9 when Cisco and others were taking supplies to a position that had been under siege for months on end by dominion forces. His "team" included Quark and his nephew Ensign Nog. Quark sees that Nog has great admiration for the federation soldiers and believes that humans are inherently good.
Upon discovery of this Quark basically tells Nog that humans are beautiful reatures provided there is enough to go around. But if you deprive them of their needs and desires they are more blood thirsty than the most savage Klingon warrior.
This would be 100% true if Klingons were real. But yeah...

Say i looked up to person X, i'd much rather write a letter to them and receive a reply than have them 'like' my tweet. Or post a reply on Twitter. Although i guess, there was this one time i made a post about a project i was doing and the author of a book i really like replied, so that was pretty neat.
Also, i hate fucking fangirling, so i was like 'hey fancy meeting you here, this is a little off topic but i enjoyed your books, they're on my shelf actually.' It was pretty cool. Just play it cool. Lol.
