Second, many yacht/boat owners don't actually live by where the yacht is moored up…they pay a mooring fee to leave their boat at the port/bay in question…and live inland. Again…most are dead, even if those with boats headed to the port/bay…there would still be hundreds/thousands of 'abandoned' boats where the owners were dead/zombies.
Just as on land there would be hundreds/thousands of abandoned cars with full fuel tanks too.
