It's cold and snows where I grew up, so yes we heat up using gas for the most part. Nowadays ACs with heat/cold are a better alternative for that.
It's not the technology and uses for oil that I think are bad, it's the whole global economy that still depends on it considering it's a finite resource and current technology allows for cheaper and more efficient sources of energy, like solar or nuclear.
Look at places like Venezuela, they have one of the biggest oil reserves in the world and yet the people there are starving because of communism when they had virtually free gas for their cars. How many wars has USA done in the middle east for oil? Everything depends on fucking oil. -

Shit, you're right, except for the "fuck whitey" part. There's no black people where I live so I can't know for certain how it's like living in a place like say, Detroit. A cop here will pretty much take your money regardless of his physical appearance or even gender, and the same goes from anything to crack addicts to the very president of the nation. Look at places like South Africa, which I think has the highest amount of whites yet it's the most violent country in that continent afaik.
