no it's not it's a function of change, be it sands through an hour glass, the change of seasons or the phases of the moon. The basic unit, the interval between different states would be the base upon a whole new universal time would be founded, how you go about chopping it up into human relatable bits is kind of a sideshow.

A year is tied to the rotation of the earth and thus helps map natural cycles, but every environment would be different anyways and 1 time schema may be too much to ask.

Like damn dude you're talking to a person who believes euros destroying out culture was a good thing, in a very esoteric sense. I identify as an individual first and foremost, I take into consideration my heritage, history and place in the world as from on a hill. I happen to be cree but am not defined by it, sorry if this is kind of a tangent... I think about this shit too much.

I made this post ages ago and still feel that way, the alienation is palpable.

The mostly sound like that lol, powwow songs are more lively, round dance songs all have the same beat and are slower. I was thinking about learning the language as it's kind cool, it's got a weird distinction in it between the animate and inanimate, like if i asked "where's sophie? or where's a broom? the word for where changes, this expresses itself when talking about the world as natural objects are always alive in cree, be it a rock or tree.

Or do you mean the date thing? I'm really not sure. The concept of time gets a billion times stickier when you start factoring in other planets. Like, it takes Mars almost twice as long to orbit the sun as earth, so the average life expectancy for the same species (humans) would be half as many measured years but the same perceived amount of time physically. Idk I'm kinda high right now

I wasn't planning on going full french revolution here, the calendar is cool just need to say it's no longer the year 2000, it's year 13 of a new age. I don't think im high enough.

I haven't really engaged with my culture since my mom passed, round dances are cool when I think about it I mean who doesn't want to hold a strangers hand and shuffle around in a circle? That said I don't know how I feel about it, like it's dead and gone and we're all larping, christ killed odin and dionysus, he snuffed out the creator too.

Originally posted by Helladamnleet Yeah, but I would be cool with, like, 'Earth Standard Time' and, like, a Galactic date system, as measuring it by the current position in relation to the sun isn't going to work, and is going to be incredibly confusing, once we start colonizing Mars and having outposts on the Moon

What would your time be tied to? we should find a reliable pulsar and designate it for the baseline. 1 pulse=base interval.

    I have hope.
You've got to realize that the generation that wants an end times apocalyptic war was raised in a very brainwashy culture where individualism and rationality were hammered out of them.
Once Gen-X and MOON PERSONs take over things will be very very different, assuming we make it to that point.

The internet seems to open the door to even more insidious mass indoctrination, we all need to keep our heads and not fall prey to ideologies.

Lol pretty sure even blacks were more advanced than us, some of them had metal working, pastoralism n shit. That being said being near the eurasian mainland you'd figure some civilization would percolate down. I'm sure if euros appeared about 200 years later we would have adopted maize. That said never enslaved, did have family sterilzed and some relatives kidnapped by the canadian state tho.

I'm thinking 2006 as year zero.

13AI, The world seems as chaotic as ever, wars rage, powers clash and looming ecological catastrophe is predicted by climate change alarmists. The economy is information, Energy over matter, Matter over soul. Waning empires and ancient powers reviving cloaked in the modern. As always who pays? and what does it cost?

why would a white person be scared of people who love white people? Hell you can't even be oppressed because of there actions like most people would if one group were to take action on their behalf.
