TLDW, the few crowdstrike employees responsible for actually delivering the product didn't test shit, had an "it'll be right" attitude, and basically really fucked up. Regex makes zero sense to humans and should actually not be used ever. -

Originally posted by Charles Ex Machina i have never been in denial about that, the question is really about do we, as humans, in our lifetime and over the generations emitted more co2 than the nature can handle to the point that it "changes" or having an effect on the way our climate functions.
The answer is yes.we know as a matter of fact that just one, I REPEAT; ONE volcanoe explosion emits more co2 and other "green house" gasses than humanity have produced from burning fossil fuels since liquid hydrocarbon was discovered by jéws in ancient egypt.
https://www.eurekalert.org/news-releases/736161
Volcanoes emit CO2, but the levels are small. About the same as the UK's annual emissions.are we really producing more co2 than all the trees and weeds and algae in the world can absorb ?
Yes, by several orders of magnitute. An alternative way of thinking of it is does earth produce enough trees, weeds and algae to fulfill the fuel needs of humanity? And the answer is very much no.
Look at North Korea as an example. Since they don't import that much oil, they have cut down most of the trees in order to heat their houses and cook. This means the landscape looks different to South Korea. Old pictures from Ireland show a similar pattern, not too many mature trees. Humanity's needs outstrip what the planet can provide by several times.
So not only is the amount of carbon caught up in plants much smaller the amount emitted, but most of the carbon caught up in plants is simply re-emitted into the atmosphere anyway when the plant dies. Long term carbon sequestration (as in coal deposits) is the exception, not the rule. -

Originally posted by Jiggaboo_Johnson "records indicate that atmospheric CO2 rose from ~420 p.p.m.v. in the Triassic period (about 200 million years ago) to a peak of ~1,130 p.p.m.v. in the Middle Cretaceous (about 100 million years ago). "
current 21st century CO2 content:
416 p.p.m.v
Get the fuck oudda here…
100 million years is a long time, is it not? That's 1 ppm increase every 100,000 years.
How much is CO2 currently rising per year? -

I'd like to see periscope.tv brought back. It was basically twitter/a twitter spinoff. -

I just said she's not a transgender.
I said I think cos I don't know for 100% sure, I didn't go down there, she might have a willy somewhere, I just don't think she does cos she seemed 100% AFAB to me.
And why aren't transgender individuals 100% as entitled to feel safe in their "womanhood" as AFAB bodies? -

Originally posted by Bradley how you doin? :) Sorry i haven't posted much/come back to the thread to chat, I've had a busy day. I got all my stuff in order and my new computer came. Been a combination of different things going on that's kept me from interacting with the forum lately.
As an aside, I feel liek this forum does make me meaner. I used to talk shit to people like I do here in real life but since I quit drinking and stabbing dogs and working on being a less abrasive person, I've really started treating people better.
I really like being here and spending time here but I feel like it does make me quite an unlikeable person and think about things in a manner I don't really in real life feel anymore.
Food for thought, it has me very introspective these days wondering how I can become an even better person and I want some pussy.
Online makes you meaner, especially when you're craving social interaction.
You can see that all the time, even here. The loneliest people are the meanest.
I suspect it's basic evo-psych. When you feel like you're distant from the discussion you become more aggressive in order to push closer. And when the discussion is online and you are socially frustrated you feel most distant, and are thus most aggressive.
Thanks for attending my lecture, Professor Trump signing out.
