   What about ipv6? And ip address for each and every device on the webz? No more need from stuff like STUN or TURN or port forwarding. What with the router hacks these days, does a NAT really give you any security?

   
   NAT doesn't really add any security aside from operating as a makeshift firewall for people who can't/don't set up their own.
   
   from memory there are enough ipv6 addresses for each person on the planet to have a few billion so NAT will eventually be redundant, but it'll probably still be in use for a long time to come.

    would make sense as retribution for the attacks severing crimea's power pylons from the mainland. stuxnet preceded this as the first major attack to reach out into the real world though.
    
    I'd probably guess it was done by private russian hackers - seems petty with too little payoff to be government-sanctioned.

    you know, it's supposed to be funny but this is exactly what the FBI does. of all the terror attacks they've 'prevented' in the last 10 years or so, all of them have been situations THEY engineered in order to entrap someone they targeted for being 'susceptible to extremism'.
