That's not even close to true. A huge number of tours net a loss. The motivation is almost always to promote commercial sales of recordings and merchandise.
he's mixing up two different ideas - first point is true; most bands make little money off the tour itself. the bulk of their income is from merchandise sales
the promotion companies and record labels actually finance the tours though, and they make little - it's treated as an advertising exercise to boost CD and online sales, where they make the bulk of their profits.
I have no idea what the case is for bands that aren't reliant on a record label or promoter and generally just tour locally -

I'll check that out, ive heard vpn's slow things down.. but i just find it kinda strange that after years of downloads (i dont download stuff all the time, just when I have a girl coming over or I want to throw a few new songs on my usb) that I'm getting these weird fucking emails.
depends on where the vpn is located; most of the good ones are either in countries with strong privacy laws (scandinavia and EU) or countries that have bigger problems than internet piracy and hence don't really give a fuck what comes through (eastern europe). when you're routing internationally yeah, speeds and latency are affected.
you can use a domestic VPN which will be quicker, but they're more likely to collect your details and pass them on to copyright trolls or just disconnect your service if they receive complaints -

I use a seedbox; it hasn't been in the news much but they've slowly been ramping up anti-piracy laws over the last few years - a large chunk of the TTP/TTIP is related to it as well -

2016-10-31 at 4:17 AM UTC in FBI Director Comey re-opens case into Clinton email scandal.OK, digging a bit deeper, two things seem to have forced Comey's hand in this - doesn't negate the other points, but:
1. according to multiple interviews, the FBI staff themselves resent Comey for the way he handled the initial investigation - it was not done professionally and seemed obvious to anyone familiar with investigation protocols that it was brushed under the rug as fast as possible. Immunity was handed out without proper justification, warrants/subpoenas weren't served, statements weren't properly analysed etc. much of the FBI believes that Comey has tarnished their name and is not acting in the interests of the agency.
2. it was the NYPD that initially found the 'new evidence' when investigating Weiner - the implication is that they discovered something pertinent to the investigation and threatened to release it publicly if the FBI did not investigate it properly.
I'm also seeing rumours of leaks being used as a threat - small amounts of information being leaked to encourage Comey to investigate properly, otherwise all of the information is made public. I haven't seen any of this data though so eh.
either way, if the FBI and NYPD have forced Comey to do his job, I would suspect there's definitely something concrete behind it. -

I do think that even unskilled manual labour is more worthwhile than a lot of white-collar jobs - a briicklayer or lawn-mower actually produces something, trivial as it may be on a large scale, whereas so many other 'occupations' are completely unnecessary and exist only to justify their own (or other) costs... real estate agents are a good example, majority of salespeople and marketing staff, retardedly specific nonsense like 'social media experts', stock market speculators etc -

a few possibilities:
1. they came across something that Huma/Weiner sent that directly implicates Hillary or DNC higher-ups in a crime (separate from the previous investigation)
2. they've determined that Trump has good odds of winning, and want to make sure that they've done everything right in terms of investigation to avoid losing face if/when a special probe is called
3. fbi-anon was right and they do have evidence of high-level criminal activity but have been unable to press forward due to the scale of it - they've now decided on a course of action
also keep in mind that Comey has ties to the Clinton Foundation - he does/did serve on the board of HSBC which has a history of receiving kickbacks from the Foundation... along with the way he handled the previous investigation, it seems extremely unlikely to me that he'd reopen it unless he absolutely had to. -
