What are your plans for dealing with Jim "The" Acosta and his recent victory in court? Will you appeal the ruling and Make News Real Again by kicking Acoster in his fake poohole?
you should respond by issuing a press pass to Alex Jones and calling on him for questions first -

how so?
I've still seen no evidence aside from those facebook ads that were posted from Russian-owned IP ranges, which could have just been VPNs and if they weren't, there's no reason to believe they were government-sponsored and not just individuals invested in the election one way or another -

Originally posted by Sudo Do you think the US holds that much sway over Saudi governmental policies? KSA buys a ton of weapons from Canada and Europe as well, plus has their pick of whatever shows up at the annual Dubai weapons expo. Sanctions are something Trump doesn't want to do but Saudi actions kind of demand a response but trumps response is proportional to the outrage.
I honestly don't know how popular MbS is inside of Saudi Arabia, but I think that regardless of tactless arguments between him and Trump, he understands that KSA and the US are intertwined and depend upon one another, and if he fucks up hard enough that'll be the end of the royal family.
Both he and Trump want business as usual to continue, but if there isn't some big symbolic punishment for the Khoshoggi thing congress is going to force the issue which will cause major problems for both countries (US economy takes a nosedive, KSA has an arms shortage* and the Yemenis take the fight to Riyadh). I think he knows this is now bigger than just himself and the throne.
*I'll look up the stats later but I don't think any other source country has the production output to fill the void if the US weapons contracts are cancelled - perhaps Russia, but I suspect much of the equipment they mean to buy (mostly missiles and guided bombs) is incompatible would be incompatible with the planes and launch platforms they've already fielded sourced from F/UK/US.
Anyhow, it's definitely possible it won't play out this way, just seems like the most practical outcome based on what I've been reading. -

2018-11-18 at 4:08 PM UTC in Predict the FutureThe 'progressive' policies he pushed were surface-level and for image only, and were extremely unpopular domestically at that. His hold on power is tenuous as it stands given he has few friends he hasn't shaken down in the royal family - even without outside influence he'll be drawn into power struggle after power struggle and possibly deposed as a result.
This is more about US than Saudi politics though. There's a growing chorus in Congress calling for KSA arms deals to be scrapped over their crimes in Yemen which is only getting louder with Khoshoggi's killing and the ridiculous farce that followed; something will NEED to be done about it but Trump CANNOT break the arms supply contract because it underpins the economic growth that is fueling his popularity.
It would've been cleanest for all involved if MbS had strung up a mid-level intelligence commander as a rogue actor, but even the CIA is now claiming he himself gave the order.
It'll be a lot cheaper for the US to make MbS an offer he can't refuse to step down than to properly punish KSA - deposing the king gives the illusion that justice has been done and business continues as usual.
I mention Abdulaziz because he had long been exiled from the kingdom but flew back in about two weeks ago with a US security detail and reported safety assurances negotiated (demanded) by the US. -

2018-11-18 at 3:54 PM UTC in Wordenhancement Donald Trump please!basically there was never any evidence of Russian involvement; their entire basis for blaming Russia is 'the attacks were similar to ones used by the Russian government in the past', without providing any context or evidence for past attacks either
