Even considering that saucer tech existed in the early 20th century?
How would they keep their supply chain hidden? Do they manufacture all their own parts and components from raw minerals, or do they simply use off-the-shelf consumer parts?
I try not to think in absolute terms, but it seems unlikely to me that a group with such a massive need for high-tech materials would be able to quietly create their own supply chains or to divert enough material from existing ones without anyone noticing. The higher-tech components required the longer the supply chain, the more people involved, the harder to keep secret -

You don't think they have highly sophisticated technology capable of remotely accessing people's minds, even if it's highly classified dark state shit up there with UFOs and the secret space program?
The thing about this line of thinking is utility.
1. The US isn't that far ahead of countries like Russia and China in terms of military tech, and even lags behind in several important areas.
2. It stands to reason that any of these 'game-changing' technologies aren't outside the reach of competitors.
3. As a result, in order to maximise the value of the new technology, they need to deploy it as widely and as soon as possible.
Of course this doesn't take into account that the MIC and its assorted companies don't necessarily answer to the nation-state, but the fact remains that there isn't any entity that's so far ahead they don't need to worry about rivals developing the same or similar technology (or an antidote to it) and that deploying it widely is likely to generate a much higher 'return on investment' than using it stealthily in the hopes that competitors will not catch on.
PS. This is also why I was hesitant to believe the patents in the 'navy tech' thread were valuable - if they were as paradigm-shifting as advertised, they wouldn't have been made public until there was already an active fleet and supply chain to build more. -

2019-10-28 at 12:23 AM UTC in Have you been implanted with microchips against your will?
Originally posted by Greenspam can you explain this in more simple form?
how does this detect on you. does it make some weird radio pitch sound ? what do you use as a wand?
it's just a radio transceiver that can be controlled by software, ie. you can plug it into your laptop and scan a wide range of frequencies to see if radio signals are coming from somewhere they shouldn't be.
if for some reason you're embedded with an RFID chip like PonyTrek said, yeah you'll need to send some radio waves to it to charge the chip and allow it to respond. or you could use a taser or something.
FYI I don't think being unknowingly implanted with a chip to be tracked is a thing (if it ever was), I'm just talking about the absurdity of paying someone $500 to scan you with what amounts to a wideband HAM radio. -
