very few of them do - Iranians are well-educated and have a long memory. Over 5 million attended Soleimani's funeral, and the student protests can be numbered in the hundreds.
The US essentially overthrew their democratically-elected President because he was looking too closely at how much oil BP was drilling vs. how much they were reporting. They put the Shah in place, a monarchy by another name, which was far more brutal than the Mullahs and Ayatollah ever were. It's all good and well to consider all the photos of miniskirts and goofy 70s haircuts as 'better times' when you don't consider all the people getting mutilated or burned up on bedsprings attached to series' of car batteries. -
