Originally posted by Bradley But the amount of aggressive oversight that will be needed to stop WellHung from calling Candy a negress is more than the DEEP STATE could ever dream of.
the reason the Gestapo, NKVD, Stasi, Inquisition etc. were so pervasive is because they convinced people to turn in their neighbours not necessarily for the state but for 'the greater good'; you can become a saint by turning in enough sinners. after a while they run out of serious 'sins' and just start attacking each other for minor, often imagined slights because they NEED to be told they're saints -

Originally posted by Fox It’s kind of a meme but I actually think something like the government in Starship Troopers would be way more effective lol. Give everyone the right to vote, once they’ve earned it through public service.
that's more or less how it originally worked in Greece and later Rome; you had to earn the right to vote by demonstrating a stake in the success of the state through military service, land ownership, public service etc..
of course people were excluded (such as slaves or 'non-Greeks') so it's not exactly the same thing, but still. people who have no interest in contributing to society, who take more than they give should not have any say in governance.
I think another big problem is the belief that violence is separate from political or economic power; it doesn't make any sense and just leads to insane and confused abstractions as to what power is. Mao was absolutely right on that -

2023-09-21 at 12:14 PM UTC in Have You Seen This F-35?I have no idea why they'd be flying with transponders off on a training mission over the US but if it's true that only one plane in a formation leaves it on that starts to explain that part at least. the transponder cannot be the only tracker on the plane though

2023-09-21 at 12:12 PM UTC in Are you eating wheat that was killed with roundup?IIRC glyphosate toxicity is overstated because it was found to be carcinogenic in rat studies, but only in extremely high doses.
if they're dumping enough of it on crops to kill them though, that's an incredibly high amount being absorbed -
2023-09-21 at 12:06 PM UTC in Have You Seen This F-35?oh my mistake, the second article was worded strangely, it means he lost sight of the plane after ejecting, not that he ejected because of visibility.
It's my understanding military jets operating over US airspace have the lead plane run its transponder. The reason they only run one is the two jets fly so close together, two transponders on would be confusing to look at on ATC screen and traffic radar in nearby planes.
interesting take -

the crash site was found 24 hours later:The F-35B Lightning II jet, manufactured by Lockheed Martin and operated by the Marine Corps since 2015, took off from Joint Base Charleston on Sunday afternoon. It was one of two planes involved in a routine training flight, Capt. Joe Leitner, spokesperson for the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, told reporters, according to The Post and Courier.
Just before 2 p.m., one of the pilots ejected, parachuting into a home's backyard in Charleston, two defense officials said. The pilot, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
After 5 p.m., Joint Base Charleston posted on social media that a "pilot ejected safely" following an afternoon "mishap" involving an F-35. Officials said they were focusing on a pair of lakes north of the base.
"If you have any information on the whereabouts of the F-35, please call our Base Defense Operations Center," officials wrote.
They launched an intense hunt for the jet, but it wasn't until almost 6:30 p.m. Monday when the base announced that law enforcement had located a debris field in Williamsburg County, a rural stretch about a two-hour drive northeast of the base.
it was also an F-35B meaning it was the vertical landing model. apparently the F-35B also has an 'auto-eject' function, and they haven't yet released why the pilot ejected in the first place so it's possible the plane malfunctioned and kicked him out. LOL.The F-35B is unique compared to other models, said Dan Grazier, a senior defense policy fellow at the Project on Government Oversight, a nonprofit federal watchdog.
"The F-35B has an auto-eject function," he said. "I'm curious to know if it ejected him involuntarily."
it doesn't explain why the plane was untrackable afterwards though.

this one cites a leaked emergency call where responders claim the pilot had to eject due to 'weather':“He’s unsure of where his plane crashed, said he just lost it in the weather,” a voice can be heard saying of the pilot on a Charleston County Emergency Medical Services call posted Tuesday by a meteorologist.
but it looks like weather in the area was clear -

Originally posted by Fox I don’t think we’ll ever know but my theory is we were funding these guys and giving them weapons, training, and intel as part of some undercover op or whatever, probably in collaboration with the Saudi Government, and they ended up carrying out the attack before we could stop them. Hence the coverup.
that'd be pretty funny because that's almost exactly what happened with the first WTC bombing -
2023-09-21 at 11:21 AM UTC in Should Saudi Arabia be Punished?I always thought the 'jet fuel can't melt steel beams' thing was a funny meme, but some people unironically believe that steel retains full structural strength up to its melting point
