I really wish I was joking but during a momentary lapse of judgement I hired a stripper named Mercedes to come and entertain me for the afternoon. Unknown to me at the time my wife was ahead of schedule and arrived early. Now I got this stripper on her way over and I've been trying to reach out to cancel but she's unresponsive and hasn't read my messages at all.
I'm starring out my window with a fist-full of "go-away" money hoping to run out and shoo her off before my wife wonders why the dog is barking and there's a cow in heels walking up to the door.

So I signed up for NIS in 2016. I was 26 and using hard drugs off and on. I was working this terrible dispatch job for a fancy car service that rich people used. I had to use my own cellphone and laptop. I had to do everything. One time my boss had me simultaneously answer phones, wait at the DMV to get cars registered (just bring your laptop and use the DMV wifi Kreepy!), plus book all next day rides also while taking the car to a SELF, yes SELF carwash. I didn't use my laptop for almost 2 years after I quit. Not on purpose but I think I subconsciously had PTSD. I won't go super into it because I could type for hours about some of the sketchy and illegal things she had me participate in while simultaneously being unappreciative of me. It would have been awful sober, but the fact I was on and off a daily intake of meth and heroin made it traumatizing. I had no pets and lived in a one bedroom apartment. At this time, I wasn't in TC every night (that was circa 2014) but I was living an unhealthy lifestyle and becoming depressed.
Now, in 2024, I don't use hard drugs anymore. I haven't shot anything up in at least 5-6 years. I've taken meth orally about 3 times in the past two years. They were isolated instances, partied for a weekend and then was done. Not a big deal IMO. My job now kicks ass. I am making really good money and have a lot of freedom. I always hated math as a kid but now I'm an accountant lol. I'm married and have 3 cats. I have found happiness in routine. Happiness in stability. Happiness in a partner that knows me inside and out. (ending a sentence on a preposition, like a FOOL). I've only recently become bored with my work. It's because I am so caught up that I get here and have nothing to do.
How about everyone else? I don't know if its just me, but it feels like a lot of us have gotten "sober" By "sober" I mean, "I'm not shoving a needle in my arm"
Bordom may be dull but at least it's safe.
