I've been planning to OD this week in a London hotel room. I found out this is what my sister's highschool friend just did. Seeing my sister's grief on video call is making me deliberate because of how she would feel losing two people close to her the same way, in the same week. Is this the universe at work? I feel like there's a universe where she lives and I die, because if I had died my sister would have posted it on FB, and maybe her friend would have thought twice. I am drunk right now and just want to know if this makes sense to anyone else.

So yesterday I was contacted by a lady who works for the producer of the Food Networks Americas Best Restaurants. They feel my restaurant might be a good fit for their program. She is going to call me tomorrow to discuss setting up a zoom meeting between myself and the producers to see if they want to feature us!

Paying a premium for the delivery of hyper-specific quantities of groceries that will just barely cover ~70% of your dinners in a given week seems really silly to me, so I've never tried it. I've been tempted to try them out, but every time I think about it... like... if I'm going to pay a premium to have meals delivered, we might as well go the extra mile and have a restaurant cook it too. Y'know? Hire a private taxi for your burrito.
That said, I remember seeing someone talking about how they'd order catering from Chipotle for their weekly meal prep, and the math worked out really nicely. Seemed like a way smarter move than having some company ship you one meal's worth of cabbage or whatever, or hiring a taxi to drive dinner to you. May be worth considering once your trial period ends. 🤔
