I used to steal a lot of food when I was homeless, lots of beef jerky.
The dollar menu at tacobell was my equivalent of a t-bone steak dinner. I would get 2 of the 1$ beef burritos, and take ALL of the hot and mild sauce. I would take the buckets and literally dump them into my laptop bag so that I had something to season food with. Pretty damn good, too.
As for meals, I used to whip up 5 servings of black beans, rice, and whatever meat I could get my hands on, if any. I would make 5 meals all at once and eat them throughout the week.
I also used to forage for greens, such as dandelions and curly dock, and eat them raw.
Used to also eat tuna and soup out of the can. Quick and easy.
Also, for a summer when I my family was broke out of their asses, I would catch, fillet, and cook crappie and eat them. Probably did this 10 or 15 times over the summer, I must've eaten like 40 or 50 crappie that summer.
When I was little, during the 08 crisis, I would dig food out of garbage cans. Even though most of my classmates where as poor or more poor than I was, they would still throw away bread crust, apple cores, etc. That was my lunch for quite some time before a teacher caught me.
Most of those meals consisted of pear/apple cores, bread crusts, and if I got lucky, a few crackers or a half eaten piece of pizza that someone didn't want.
There is food all around, especially if you're in a city. if you are poor, you just have to be smart about how you get it.

Land doesn't "belong" to any particular group of people just because they inhabited it previously.
whether designated as a group by ethnicity, language, culture, etc, at the end of the day, a plot of land is owned by whoever occupies/governs it.

Yes, they where. Then the levant was conquered by the Romans. After that the Byzantines held it, until the Rashidun, Umayyad, and Abbasid caliphates conquered it. Then it was held by mamluks, and then ottomans, etc.
It is utterly pointless to argue that a specific group of people are entitled to a plot of land just because they at one time inhabited it.
These are my thoughts on the matter. Is there anyone that disagrees? I would like to hear another viewpoint on this subject.

After posting in JJJJ's thread and remarking that there's less activity on this forum, I decided to count the posts that we have. We have a whopping 1,614,158 posts. Or 1,614,159 after I press "Submit." Quite impressive, right? Well... not really.
We have been longer around than Zoklet -- which I thought was impossible, so, congratulations, Lanny! -- yet we have fewer posts. By a large margin.
We've been here since 24 June 2015 to 21 March 2024, that's nearly 9 years!!!
From January 2009 (although it had been a forum since 2006 as per Zok's join date, it wasn't open for public access until January 2009) to September 2014, which is 5 years, Zoklet managed to rack up 4,208,784 posts.
We don't even have half of Zoklet's amount of posts despite being up for twice as long! Kind of mind-blowing.
We're only at 38.25% of where Zoklet was in terms of post count.

Last February, Canadian Security Intelligence Service director Michael Coulombe testified before the Senate national security and defence committee hearing that an estimated 130 Canadians had joined terror groups in Syria, Yemen, Somalia and north Africa. Coulombe estimated that 30 of them had left to join groups like ISIS in Syria and Iraq. Many experts estimate that number is now much higher.
