I don't care for them too much. The books are a thousand times better. I pictured most of the characters very differently so the movies are quite disappointing to me. The 4th movie is the worst, it's crap. Pure unadulterated crap. I highly recommend the audible versions of the books vs. the movies if you don't have time to sit and read. -

1: Forums are slower-paced. Due to the thread and forum format, a conversation can be started and carried on for years, ebbing and flowing through time, changing along the way as old people leave and new ones come. These conversations require you to make a post on a thread that is directly related either to the entire thread as a whole or to the last post(s). This encourages the user to engage more with the thread instead of just randomly posting some bullshit and the logging off, like how social media is used.
2: Forums have more niche communities. The people on Instagram don't all have common interests with one another, they all just use Instagram. However, on a forum like https://www.politicsforum.org/forum/ everyone on this forum is interested in a variety of political topics, ranging from economics to philosophy to, you guessed it, politics, and they are all able to congregate on this site and discuss these things with other likeminded people.
3: No tracking. No ads.

A lot of people have come and gone but a lot have stayed too.
The forum is one thing that I always go back to and I enjoy it very much.
My only long break from this was during a few real bad years of drug addiction.
I'm grateful for this place and for all of you because it would be real hard ever exercising this side of my personality anywhere else in the real world.
Recently I have found myself quite concerned with our future as Lanny is clearly falling apart, losing grasp on what little he ever had and becoming more of a loose cannon that ever before.
I doubt little that one day soon he will get an offer that answers his problems at the cost of all our freedoms and privacy.
He already admitted to me that he willingly cooperates with any and all investigations by federal and state agencies whom request any logs and that paying him $20 to delete your account doesn't actually do anything except give you a false sense of security and him $20.
Between Kafka and Wozny alone the FBI has been contacted over 400 times just this year.
