This isn't because of the government. They were trying to use this data to push a copyright infringement case through the court, now there is no case because the data has been deleted by hackers.
It's both. they are using it to shut down potential evidence recorded by news sites and or informational sites (at least the more factual and valid ones)
they were trying this years ago but lately as we're getting closer to the Polls, some people were showing evidence of Kamala's and Obama's links to communist activity and Fast and Furious gun runs.
