Doing labor for bathrooms is a pain. Lots of sharp ceramic and heavy concrete and Sheetrock to haul out. Always a pain to get sheets of drywall and Sheetrock into them. Plus if you’re working with 2 or more men one of them has to stand outside of the bathroom because there’s usually just not enough room.

A lot of stores don't even have bulletproof glass, they just have a layer of plexiglass of varying thickness to prevent Jamal from hopping the counter. There's also no such thing as "bullet proof" glass, only bullet resistant glass, the lower end of which can hardly stop a .45 let alone a large caliber rifle bullet.
So yeah, you probably could walk in with an AR or .357, put a couple rounds through the glass and convince the poor red dot foreheaded fellow behind the counter to hand over the $87 in the register, but there's really no point as most people don't pay with cash anymore, store safes rarely contain more than $500 even on the weekends anymore, and most importantly discharging a firearm while committing armed robbery is a very quick and easy way to end up with an attempted murder charge even if you pinky promise the judge you really didn't mean it!!!

🚨 - Good planning can make it easier for you to get away with lifting, and simultaneously harder for LP to bust you for it 🚫. For example, in certain jurisdictions you have to be witnessed lifting by LP in order for them to stop you 🕵️♂️. Knowing characteristics of the store you are hitting and of the employees that work there can greatly influence what you are able to lift and the constraints under which you do so 🤝.
📊 - Good planning can also ensure that you do not get into the bad habit of frequently engaging in bad habits 🙅♂️. For example, many beginner lifters will, before pocketing an item, sharply look from left to right to make sure the "coast is clear" 🤔. This move immediately will look suspicious to most LP, some of which have seen lifters telegraph this telltale sign that they are up to mischief 🤫. Properly planning and thinking about every aspect of a particular hit, in this case, may lead to you realizing how your actions in the store affect other people, which will affect your outcome 🤝.

This section will be short, as this is a beginner's guide, and planning is first and foremost left to the discretion of the lifter 🤝. My shortest lick is, although not timed exactly, likely at least sub-20 seconds 🕒. I knew exactly what I wanted, where it was in the store, and also saw the only employee on shift nodding off 😴.
