I heard some of the other rocks they threw were up to twenty pounds. And the fact that they had already hit four other cars which were pulled over waiting for the cops to show up... Doesn't look good for them. Some judge is gonna make an example out of them. I feel a little bad because they were probably just being dumb kids, but man, you can't throw bowling ball weight rocks at cars repeatedly and not consider that someone might get seriously hurt.

I think it's rather stigmatizing and damaging that so many people have this dismissive attitude that the answer to things like this is simply mental illness. People with mental illness are no more likely than other people to commit violence, and people just assume that's the sole answer any time something like this happens.
