I would watch this Show, The Old Grey Whistle, Johnny Cash variety hour, SXSW (yes there was a TV show), Austin Outer Limit (obviously also from Austin Texas), Soul Train (after school)
so much good music in the 70s and 80s in my youth. there is a limit in what is Music today. R&B dominates American TV now.
no rock music left. there is a channel out of the UK we got on our cable lineup that is no longer. they pulled it. It was like FUSE tv but really good modern Alternative Rock sounding. a modern 80ish sound. Synth Pop and Gothic which is actually enjoyable. but nothing here in the USA. not on tv anyways.
I listen to College radio but it too has died out from original material.
we grew up in a great time. I learned about this in class. in real world one person was left as a skeleton crew and had to work the curtain and sandbags (that help pully a stage prop. they wrapped the rope around their leg and the sandbag slipped or something happened and broke their leg and they continued on with a broken leg or ankle. showing their loyalty to Continue on with the show.
