it's arrogant on its face to think that a God that created billions of people, exponentially more animals, plants and 'things' has the time or capacity to care for them individually when they all inevitably suffer and die. you're effectively declaring that you're the centre of the universe. if you believe then sure, honour your father, but I'm yet to find any reason to think he even knows you exist.
personally I'm agnostic, though I lean towards the idea of being 'intelligently' created. in terms of mythology I'm drawn towards the gnostic idea of a 'divine' essence created by a Stranger God that lost us long ago, trapped in hyle until we find a way to separate the divine from the flesh
but I understand that it's not rational and that I have nothing to show for it except a feeling and probably a bunch of undiagnosed mental illness -

I find Christian dualism/gnosticism interesting, the idea that the Old Testament God represents the trap of the flesh and the material world, and the Trinity of the New Testament represents an escape from it -
