I love the kids, but they aint mine to raise, if I saw a kid on his own RN (<13 y/o) I'd buy him a happy meal, ask him if he wants to call social services, if not ask him if he wants a cigarette, ask him if he wants a place to go, and figure things out for him.

How hard of a concept is it for everyone to understand that we need a lot of poor people to perpetuate advancement in all social & science schools. And that these po' folk deserve to gain some form of sembelence here and there like any living human being, reach it, and then be beat down in a different way, resulting in a repeat of cycle.
There were slaves in Rome (300BC-450AD), there were slaves in Northern Germania (all), there were slaves in America (1620-1850ish), there were slaves that fathered Vinny (See: Vietnam Modern), some people are enslaved. Whether they're wage slaves or regular slaves it's obvious that all modern nation states require some form of taxxed menial population. In America they call them Laborers, Factory Workers and Staff.

You can reasonably argue against the legitimacy of some scientific institutions or individual journals/papers, but to treat science as a whole as being under that same umbrella is plain stupid, and indicative of simplistic thinking.
