For me 2006 was so amazing because I started really getting deep into music, collecting albums and exploring esoteric genres like harsh noise.
I didn’t have a home internet connection since I moved to my grandparents and my pc’e hard drive failed so I was forced to find ways to entertain myself.
I would read manga, daydream, listen to albums, make noise in my grandparents garage and play ps2.
Then a year later I moved into an apartment and had an internet connection again so everything went to shit.
I have an extreme internet addiction and being on the computer 34/7 really depresses the hell out of me.
I’m happiest when I’m not in a situation like that and am forced to find other ways to pass the time.
It’s difficult being a hikikomori in an age where everything is moving online.
That’s another reason I loved that era so much more, things were more offline and the net played a smaller role in the world.

I have been pretty busy the past few months
Been cutting down on my marijuana usage and focusing on various pursuits such as self-improvement and web development
I've been burning lots of concert footage and documentaries from youtube to DVD-Rs for my collection
My mom told me about No Shave November so I'm trying that out, I'm pretty bearded right now and it's not bothering me too much so I might try to go the whole month.
