one time i was feeling pretty suicidal and had been up for a few days on 4f-mph and just got in an argument w/ my gf so i was standing on the street downtown smoking a cigarette all pissed off and some tweaker was walking aggressively down the street yelling at people and shit. i was feeling really confrontational at the time so i was just like "whats up dude you good you need a cigarette or something?" and he stopped talking crazy and was like "no, thank you", then went back to violently threatening people.
then today i was going to the dentist and my appt was right when they open at 8:15, but the waiting area opens at 8 so i was just chillin in there bullshitting in the official NIS KIK chat and some twacked out yet jacked gay dude with face tats came in and was like "where am i?" so i was like "this is the dentist" and he seemed confused, so i was like "if ur tryin to find the doctors office its around the corner" and he got pissed off and immediately confrontational and saying "i don't need to see a fucking doctor, why do i need to see a doctor? you think i need to see a doctor? whats wrong with me? why do i need to see a doctor?"
for a minute i was a little bewildered like what the fuck is this dudes problem but then i got pissed off and just said "i dont know, DO YOU?" in a rude tone and the pussy just mumbled some shit and walked away.
also yesterday at work there was some tweaker having a psychotic episode on the concrete out front and he pushed down an entire row of bird scooters then walked like 20 feet away and was like AWWW FUCK IT ALRIGHT I'M SORRY and turned around and picked them all back up

It took me a few minutes to really get the analogy, since there's a lot of things going on in this scene (which I haven't seen - I love the Simpson's but kinda lost touch with it years ago).
But, despite not having been around for the invasion of the DH hordes (no offense DH-folk, you know I love you all too), I can imagine it probably went down something like that.
There would have likely been all kinds of "shock-gum" trollery and attempted watermelon-attack trickery under the false pretense of "free beer", but, despite giving NiS the lowest possible score out of 10, a 6, they did end up staying (I don't know what percent of the initial total migrants), thus causing the analogy to veer ever so slightly.
But either way, that was fun, it's been a long time since I've seen an unfamiliar Simpsons clip that still somehow felt canon to the 90's episodes.

Lately I've been sobering up, it's been a while since I've done any meth and I'm basically done tapering off opiates/Crouton. My days consist of working so I can't just get high 24/7 anymore so the way I use drugs has shifted from just being totally wasted or twacked on something every single day to using it to deal with anxiety/make it through the day/relax after work. But every time I try to completely sober up it's hard to live with the things I've done in the situation I'm in. My situation is still pretty good and I've got away with a lot so I'm not trying to complain but a lot of the time I feel like I need to get the fuck out of my current location, current job, current situation, current everything. Completely erase the life I have right now and start over. I daydream about foreign locations where nobody knows my name or my past or my history. I feel like if I pursued that path it wouldn't be fun though. I'd still be stuck with the shit inside. But at the same time...it's so appealing
