Linux, macOS. If it's unixy it's fine. Windows irritates me, and even though WSL is pretty good at that point I'd rather just use *nix directly.

Is it really that hard to connect two PC's with an ethernet cable and spent five minutes configuring the network adapter so they can find each other?

it begs the question as to why there's such a push for universal vaccination against a virus with such a low mortality rate.
I don't disagree that a lot of these were rushed, or that mortality rates are low. I'm more just commenting on the broader idea that's got a lot of mindshare at the moment, that people broadly pushing for vaccines have some kind of secret agenda. The mortality rates of COVID are super low; the mortality rates of the vaccines are an order of magnitude lower even accounting for vaccination vs infection rates. Whatever you think of the broader picture, the math still favours some kind of broad vaccination programme

Unrelated: I hate this 10 posts per day shit for first 30 posts. I guess it's to stop idiot new folks like me taking up too much dead air

None of the above. Carbon monoxide would be the most ideal if I had to pick, but even better would be cutting out the self-destructive death obsession and getting on with life.

If it's taken you thousands of hours to recognise that shame is bad for you, you've spent a whole lot of time re-inventing the wheel. Go read some Brene Brown, if you work in the tech sector your boss will probably let you expense the books. Once you've gotten that bullshit under control you can think about something more interesting.

Don't inhale cigars like cigarettes, but after you let the smoke out of your mouth, let it waft and mix with the air, you can breathe in the smokey air.

Tuesday morning? Not unless you work weird hours and have ~48 hours uninterrupted ahead of you. Getting fucked up with less personal time bandwidth is self-sabotaging

Yeah nah fuck that "fascism" shit. Lay off the drugs, put aside the paranoia and try to apply some rationality. The mathematics of the situation supports vaccination across nearly all scenarios (COVID and otherwise) and supports the exclusion of those who refuse. I don't really give a fuck about your "rights", or my "rights", none of us individuals are as important as we think we are. The math is clear, and anything else is irrational and small minded.

This is why I keep trying to cut down on swearing. If used sparingly it really adds weight to a conversation, I've been trying to swear less at work for this reason. But I can never fucking manage it.

If you can manage it, find your favourite drug and limit yourself to once a week, on a Friday or a Saturday. I used to have massive substance abuse and self control issues. Now I never take anything when I have work (or any other commitment) the next morning, and never take anything two days in a row. At present it's usually just a half/quarter Xanax or some vodka on a Friday night, *very* occasionally both, but never more. If something comes up I skip and don't fret or look for another window to use. There's always next time. But if you can't maintain this sort of hyper-vigilant rigid discipline then you'll bottom out or start fucking your life up. Don't be addicted. It is bad.

What's with this women hating bullshit. Sure sign of someone who desperately wants something from women but can't get it.

Find a woman who wants to fuck you, stop caring about people you've never met.

Just no, mate. Instead of trying to get revenge, recognise that you were an easy mark and made bad choices. Be less pathetic.
