Cops look for those on trucks at truck scales (Highway Patrol). They do have lights which i have also pointed out in the past as seeming pointless but they may use them to blend in or understand red lights means a star is moving away while blue or greens is a starlight moving towards. Scientist discovered this and it maybe a universal travel law so other space crafts dont collide capable of moving much faster speeds
