2021-03-02 at 6:16 PM UTC in Anyone here a Linux user?I tried loading Ubuntu from the main distro and it became more and more boggy and rickity in behavior.
someone told me Mint Linux is really popular. you can install using the sudo whatever command but it comes with a better installer than ubuntu does. unbutu has trouble installing certain formats. I'm new to Linux. I mean I used it years ago but forgot how to do most of the commands (which becomes simpler with use)
There was another4 Linux that didn't have bog ware on it. and it was basic and simple and fast and you could then load what you truly want to use on it.
I feel like once you install something, even on linux, there is a file left behind (that might be a system file shared?) that when it runs through its command lines to load some other shit that it slows the system down. more and more. So I want something with "Must have" system shit. I dont mind the Micro-Suck like Office (Libre?) but outside of that. the basics. You know, terminal (obviously) maybe a calculator, datebook, but then add what I want. including some purchase level files.

adding in: I never watched those original star trek but damn this looks high definition and the one show I watched in full screen was pretty high resolution for 1960s. most things are grainy or forced into 4:3 resolution back then. this show must have been filmed on 35mm or something. even 16?

anywho yeah. we embossed plastic Mylar shit and it seemed toxic as fuck. I didn't mind using a arc welder with the smoke off the steel or aluminium plates which is toxic enough but that plastic shit made me feel ill at the end of the day.
they shoved this one guy who was like from Thailand or some swampy Asian country in this room where his job was to unroll massive spools of Mylar plastics to heat up and make soft and then punch it with a hydraulic press.
tl:dr Racist as fuck to stick the guy from a swampy steamy country into a room with the same environment. he always complained it was cold even on warm days when he went outside to eat with the rest of us. even when it was 80 degrees. because it was like 108 degrees with 100% humidity in that closed off room with steam and shit. every-time you had to go into that room it was like opening a fucking dishwasher in dry mode with steam just burning the shit out of your face. just about knocks you out. -
