Biden is a great example of that mentality.
He just called 1/2 of the population garbage...and this is the guy who ran on the idea of being "The president of unity".
Dems/liberals/progressives really have a problem with people who don't agree with their way of thinking and generally respond with hate/attack and disparaging them.
A reasonable person understands that other people think differently than you and don't hold that against them...I know and interact with left wingers everyday and get along with them...you just learn to avoid getting into discussions about "triggering" subjects...
Part of being a rational adult is getting along with others who think differently than you...it's actually a requirement if you want to be successful and "happy". Going through life hating half the population because they don't agree with your politics is self defeating and illogical.
