everyone remembers the anecdote that Nero fiddled while Rome burned, but he's really just a sidenote to the collapse of an empire
I suspect regular people living in the aftermath would feel a certain type of way about anyone suggesting the crumbling remains of the empire be run the way Ol' Nero ran it though. It's a historical footnote, but for the people living in the aftermath, I imagine hearing that would have colored people's perception of any politics that might be credibly tied to Nero.
If everything goes to shit under Trump, normies will associate right-leaning politics with collapse. It'd be an overnight communist revolution in the making. Conversely, if things go to shit under Biden, I suspect the normies would be swayed to a more fascistic order - I'm not saying full on "Day of the Rope" but like, they're going to want whatever is left of the empire to be governed in a maximally "not like the guy who ruined everything" fashion.
(Not that I suspect the Empire is going to meaningfully collapse in this decade. But things are going to get worse, and you should want them to get worse under your enemies for entirely self-serving reasons.) -

Like, if you're blackpilled, you need to be thinking about the most advantageous form the collapse could take. Post-collapse outcomes will be determined largely by the particulars of the conditions leading up to the collapse. Being a doomer isn't an excuse to stop thinking about the future - there's still going to be a future even after the present order comes to an end. So think long and hard about what form you want it to take, and act accordingly. -
