   I have a christmas cactus that I’ve had for a few years. I’ve forget to water it for like a month a few times and it’s still alive.
   
   I had an african violet that lasted pretty long though it never flowered again after I bought it.
   
   What’s something cool I can get.

   what are you going for? theres billions of different kinds of houseplants...depending on what your decorating or ambiance preferences are. or, if you just want a plant...what do you like in plants?
   
   christmas cactus is sorta-kinda a succulent...meaning it stores a shit ton of water in its leaves, which lets it go long periods without being watered; compared to other plants
   
   was your african violet light-starved? it probably didnt get fertilized enough, too.
