   Everglades .45 FMJ
   CCI Large Pistol Primer
   Starline .45 brass
   7.1gr power pistol powder
   1.245 OAL
   
   I used to carry 10mm but realized that .45 is better against human targets and if I have to deal with anything larger than your average street nigger I'll be at home or in my car, in which case a .30-06 is nearby
   
   As for the micro barrel I'm only losing about 50 fps and 15 yd of maximum range so I'm not terribly worried about it as most self defense encounters occur at <10yd
   
   And the increased concealability is worth it to me

   FMJ? why not some sort of hollow point...like a speer short-barrel gold-dot? those are what I use in my .357 (135gr) and used to use in my .45s (200gr) but all I can get now are the 185gr. my barrel is 5" so it works better with slower powders...like BE86. I'm thinking of going to WST for my operational loads because I think it might be more accurate. not sure yet.
   
   with a short barrel and power postol, you must get a helluva fireball.

    If I'm going to continue to overload my rounds I definitely need to get a barrel with full chamber support
    
    Fucking glock barrels only offer partial support "for ammo versatility"
    
    Dumb as fuck if you ask me but at least .45 is a low pressure round so I can get away with it

    almost any hollow point is better than FMJ for shooting people...unless youre trying to get the bullet to go through two or three people. .45 ball overpenerates like a sumbitch.
    
    if you want to tone down the flamethrower effect you could try BE86. allegedly it's a PP relative with flash suppressant. I'm still on my first pound of it for operational use so it's in the experimental stage.
    
    supported barrel is one of the reasons I bought a USP. Ive used .45 super rounds in that thing without a problem. that crapped eunuch-10mm (.40) is a pain in the dick to reload because of that unsupported barrel. it blows out the brass and not only makes it harder to reload/resize...but it kills the case lifeb for reloading.
