    Your dad sounded like a good man, I'm glad he stood for up for a Japanese man. I love my eastern neighbors but I'm biased because I'm South Asian I suppose.

    Oh you are so right about that. I remember my aunt (not related, she was half Dutch and half French) went to Greece with her then-husband and the American tourists were so rude and making total asses out of themselves. This was back in the 1960s. She'd always tell me stories all the time. I miss her. :(
