   An old friend of mine used to be in the navy and was stationed on one of those nuclear subs that's underwater for months at a time...he was also the "driver" and had a framed photo of his sub breaking the surface spectacularly while he was "driving" (whatever you call it) it.

   Anyway...he was FUCKING NUTS and also left Ohio to come to Texas because his family was after him for fucking his 15yr old cousin.
   
   ...so yes, subs are scarier than you think because crazy people like Dan drive them.

   That's called an emergency blow. Basically go down a few 100 feet and dump all the air tanks into the ballast tanks, I did it a few times.
   
   Driving a sub is a newbie job because it doesn't take long to qualify, all you do is look at gauges and compass and do what the diving office tells ya,
