"Gondor calls for aid - and Denmark answers and will send more then 100 Leopard 1A5DK for Ukraine! That is one tank per 58.000 Danes, if US did the same they would send 5724 tanks and the UK 1160 tanks.... just to give an idea about how big this actually is, especially taken into consideration that Denmark also send all our newly bought CAESAR artillery directly for Ukraine! The donation is part of a joint venture with Germany and the Netherlands and the total amount of tanks will be 178, not sure if all will be the DK-version...
Just confirmed by the Danish Ministry of Defence, Denmark will buy back more then 100 Leopards 1A5DK versions from a German contractor. These tanks will now be prepared (as part of a setup with Germany and The Netherlands and a total of 178 tanks)) and it is expected that the first 80 will arrive in Ukraine in a few month time.
The Leopards 1A5DK may not be the newest version on the market, but it is still far superior compared with russian T-72 and older tanks.
The A5 DK is equipped with a fire control computer, a laser range finder and a gunners primary sight (EMES-18 - stabilised thermal sight) for its 105mm barrel. The commanders forward periscope and panoramic sight were extended for a clear view over the primary sight housing.
The gun received a thermal sleeve and a muzzle reference collimator at the end of the barrel.
To Ukraine with love - thanks for holding the Frontline of Democracy"

This part gives the game away.

lol, leopard-1 armor can't even stop a BMP's 30mm autocannon
their best bet is probably to keep them away from the front lines and use them as artillery

steel-ceramic NERA would stop most kinds of 'light' penetrators and explosives, reactive armor is meant to stop HEAT and heavy penetrators, then you've got active defence like the israeli TROPHY or Russian ARENA that's meant to blast projectiles that get close (ATGMs are relatively slow but they're supposedly effective against MBT cannon shells and stuff too)
but as far as I can find out these tanks have none, so all they can rely on is relatively thin armor and an oversized cannon

the English should just leave the island altogether and let Zelensky use it as a naval base (he doesn't get to keep the Pakis and Africans though, naturally)

I would say that the English should also hand over the Trident nuclear deterrent but contractors recently got caught fixing the coolant system for the nuclear reactor with superglue so maybe it's better to withhold that

Imagine it was main seawater coolant. Those guys be dead if that ruptured, no recovery from that.

Maybe it's one of those things where if you over tighten the bolts you have to remove the whole pipe and go and get an xray done on the part to detect microcracks and the like. So it's not even just about removing the sheared off bolt and replacing it (which would be a pain anyway).
