    if there were a defining trait of this community, i think it's fairly self-evident (given our attrition losses) that survival is not a particularly strong drive for us. and by merit of posting here in the first place, it's equally self-evident that we are not seeking status (nobody who is genuinely conscious of their status would risk exposure as a user here).
