I've been told by others that the first time they saw it as they come over the hill it's quite a breathtaking sight...the problem is the first time I saw it was as a dumb uncivilized schoolkid with a bunch of other equally dumb and unruly uncivilized school kids so we were more interested in seeing what we could steal in the cafe/giftshop area than a bunch of "dumb stones". -

Yes.
The 3rd time I took exwife #2 (the 2014 visit)...her first time in the UK and her first time at Stonehenge...she was a pretty emotional person...I figured she's be awestruck but all she did was whine about how cold it was and "could we go get a coffee now we've seen them"
