Since you don’t actually live up to the claims that you are making, you can not really afford to make any claim period.

Your image proved nothing. Only that you are subscribed to many of the threads I am and that I post before you login.

There was no investigation required just the use of common knowledge.

yeah this probably applies to most every disordered personality/way of thinking? everything is a spectrum from 'normal' to 'completely batshit', and everyone finds themselves somewhere along that spectrum for every mental illness/personality disorder. hard to think of a mental illness that isn't just [doing a normal healthy thing everyone does, but too much or too little]. cud even say this applies to schizophrenia, with people who have internal monologues, no aphantasia, and vivid/rich inner lives being farther along the spectrum.

also this thread feels like a test to root out psychopaths (whose whole thing is basically that they do not engage with theory of mind, and so have no idea how to answer a hypothetical about emotions they/someone else'd feel in a given situation). altho since our internal worlds are all qualia and that of the psychopath is especially mysterious (unless u r one), it's not like non-psychopaths will have much better luck at answering this with any accuracy

(i know psychopaths are seen as manipulative and this makes it easy to assume they actually have an amazing grasp of theory of mind, but it's entirely possible to know how people will react to stimuli without understanding anything about what would be going on inside their heads/hearts to drive that reaction)

I thought it just wasn't a well thought out question. Why would someone try to root out psychos here?

yea it absolutely isn't a well thought out question (at least if u accept my framing of psychopathy). realized that immediately after typing out the 'rooting out psychopaths' sentence, hence the one that follows it. i decided i was just sayin 'lol lmao psychopaths aren't even gonna have an answer for you here bud soz' instead of what it literally says

wait what are you even asking here? like psychopaths happiness outcomes generally, or their happiness outcome vis-a-vis aging? because i feel like a big part of why narcissistic personalities might trend towards unhappiness with age is that after a point, age starts to destroy your looks, your athletic ability, etc. mostly tho, narcissists might want (need) to succeed and be cooler and better than everyone else, but most will just be boring ass regular people their entire lives. as more and more people have more than they do, that's gonna be a source of anguish.

and even if you've achieved a lot in life by the time you're 70 (big plus for narcissistic types), you're prob never gonna be as spry as an 18 year old who's young dumb and full of cum (could see this being a huge negative). you can lord your wealth and achievements over them if you have those, but they can just be like "lol lmao im 18 not 900 like u i havent had time to make that much yet. but i can do a backflip, loser. can u?" and you've got no comeback (or u try it because ur ego is fragile and break ur hip because ur an old fart and it is also fragile)

aging itself is unusually relevant to those with narcissistic traits, but prob wouldn't be super relevant to the happiness of people with psychopathic ones?
The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

whatever. my big 'nobody can possibly know wtf they're talking about wrt this question' caveat out of the way

... what do 'normal' people's outcomes look like? 'cause psychopaths are prob about the same as regular people here? which i'd guess means their outcome is likely to be 'ambivalence'? maybe a slightly happier outcome than normal since they aren't going to be as sad later in life when we all inevitably spend our days watching everyone we know and love die.

I don't really believe in personality disorder theory / I don't understand it lol

I've been told it does/doesn't apply to me so it's probably not a permanent thing, sometimes you meet peolpe though and it's like yeah this is diagnosable FOR SURE (many folx here for example)

There isnt really a 'normal' when it comes to people. There is a common.

Common according to statistics, would be overweight/obese, unhappy, stressed, and not finacially fit.

Do you want to be the common person?

Normal is simply that which conforms to a standard and behaves as expected. I would argue that it is common for people to be normal.

    Yeah.

I just want to know if I will continue to feel happy as I get older or if I will end up unhappy like most people. That is why I ask.

Most people I know are happier at my age than they were when they were younger myself included.
