The lender called and said "there was an increase the days before everything was all set up that she didn't know about" and so our 6.1% interest rate is now 7.7% (its a conventional loan) AND then she said that when she estimated our closing costs she "accidently" rounded down instead of up and now they are a few thousand more.

Yeah i never had a mortgage on my house either. Like only paying taxes once a year is so awesome and you can always fall back to home and 'basically' no one can make you leave or anything like that. Now I do realize there are ways, but besides like immenent domain or idk i guess the house could get taken for back taxes or if it got condemned. But its nice knowing basically besides those things youll always have a place to lay ya head. I remember when I literally didnt have a place to go and i feel for people that dont. I *highly* reccommend to anyone that doesnt own a home to buy a cheap (<20k) house and fix it up to where it can get an occupancy permit, and living there. I know thats easier said than done but man it makes a big difference. I credit my addiction recovery success to my place of living and family support, so i understand how hard it can be eithout those things.

That's not what happened.
What happened was Ghost played Hypixel cheat mode so long that when we went and started fresh on a 1.19 server he had completely forgot how to play.
I spent last night making buckets for him, and building us a simple shelter while he ran around going "woah, have you seen these caves?".
Damn cave update was 2 friggin years ago.
