Chechenya's still facing major problems with separatists; some of the best ISIS units were Chechens who cut their teeth against Russia in the Chechen wars and many went on to serve in the Ukraine. Creating a paramilitary outside of the greater Russian command structure is asking for trouble, and having Khadyrov at the head of it would be insane.

no it wouldnt and whatever that came out of it can be no more dangerous than the cartels in south america.

what can be bought with money, can be resold for money. PMC can easily be controlled by their purse strings, whats dangerous, are those who would fight for free, the so called pro-bono militias.

    for something intangible. like ideologies.

kadyrov could be dangerous, but as of right now his vision seems to be aligned with those of russia's interest. this can always change but irregardless now its already too late for russia to reconsider as chechen blood has already been spilled over this SMO.

Soviet/Russian doctrine favours artillery and missiles over aircraft, that and the Ukraine still has enough anti-air capability to be a concern, even now

    nein aldra. just nein.

ukrainian anti air capabilities has been septa-mated (thats the destruction of 9/10) in the first week of the SMO and whats left of their A2/AD now consists of volunteer trans-men with MANPAD in between their arms and WOMENPAD in between their legs shooting into the sky.

modern russian bombers are simply beyond the range of these improvised, trans-AA.

the main reason bombers are not deployed is simply due to costs. ukrain is just next door to russia so everything required can be just carted in into the frontline and who needs men to fly aircrafts full of bombs to their target destinition when the bombs now can fly themselves.

    ballistically and linearly.

Former President Bronisław Komorowski referred in an interview to the visit of the US leader to Poland scheduled for next week.

    - First of all, it will be a signal to Moscow that we, the West, are determined to maintain support for Ukraine - as the American diplomacy says at the moment - as long as it is needed - he said. - This is the first, most important signal that will come at the time of the planned or - as some media say - already launched Russian offensive - he added.

    - Secondly, it is probably an important signal for all the countries of NATO's eastern flank that are involved in supporting Ukraine, (...) that they have the right to feel safe, because America - with all its military, political and economic power - is guarding the security of this region and a Russian revenge for helping Ukraine will be prevented, continued the former president.

You know Chinese tariffs on American goods are far greater than those from the US on China goods right? You understand that if the tariffs were equal that China could not export a piece of rice to the US? The trade imbalance with China is a gift and that gift can be taken back. China cannot export cheap labor to Russia because Russia already is a slavery system.

If one piece or military equipment goes from China to Russia, watch what happens. The Chinese economy is already shrinking, Xi is not going to risk the worlds greatest consumer even slowing its purchasing. They will send their second rate tech though. Yes, second rate, because for years, the US has denied China access to the newest chip making technology and equipment. Nothing tech coming out of China will come close to Japan or Taiwan, and the US controls those markets.

    Keep reading those text books.

Meanwhile little biatch Vlad is making his speech. The west is the threat...bla bla bla Funny how it was not the west that invaded Russia. The Russian inferiority complex and the crying out of "hey look at me" is pitiful. What could be an amazing country is nothing more than a $hit hole criminal state.

    1. The cartels in South America aren't being used as part of a standard military enforcing a state's official foreign police
    2. Khadyrov's goals coincide with Russia's goals because his power is reliant on Russia's patronage; the issue isn't his loyalty but his ability to think clearly and maintain a well-regimented force. I mentioned the separatist problem because it makes recruiting personnel complicated as the people taken in and the power they're given in the group needs to be carefully controlled. Neither careful or controlled are words I'd use to describe our friend.

Like I said, Russian doctrine values artillery and missiles over aircraft in terms of standoff weapons. There's not much tangible benefit to dropping a FAB-500 onto a position over blasting it with thermobarics from the TOS-1A or similar. The weekly power substation strikes are typically air-launched from bombers, but they're launched from way East, usually over the Caspian to prevent the launches from being detected until it's too late (the X-55s and X-101s were specifically designed with a small radar cross-section so their initial launch is the most easily detectable period). They don't need to make extensive use of aircraft for the kind of battles they're fighting so the chance of having even just a few shot down makes sorties not worthwhile for the most part.

And yes, there are still significant SAM batteries in the West, around Lviv and Kiev. Mobile SAMs are very difficult to destroy if they're not kept stationary, but they're often used more as a threat than an actual weapon - planes come into range, get radar checked and they have to choose whether to fly high and hope they can avoid the missile or go low and risk getting hit with MANPADs and AA guns

I feel like Ramzan Khadyrov is like an Eastern European version of Ricky from Trailer Park Boys who somehow got put in charge of the country

what gives you the impression that kadyrov is a careless/crazy or incompetent person. tbh i dont know a lot about him but he doesnt seems like an irrational actor.

on the matter of separatists, theyre no more different than "nazis" serving under vagner. PMC contractors are not all powerful 0-tier spec ops. most of them are just grunts doing the grunt part of the war like driving trucks and towing guns and shooting people etc etc.

Like I said, Russian doctrine values artillery and missiles over aircraft in terms of standoff weapons.

doctrines arent universal dogma and different doctrines apply to different theaters. in continental ground war, yea, perhaps.

but how about intercontinental warfare with the US like the old cold war days ? did their doctrine favored artilleries and missiles ?

i dont really understand why bombers were used. are those missiles exclusively for bombers ?

i understand those are old s-300s, buks and tochka Os, which russians definitely have an answer to by now.

When will Russia open the stock market? When will foreign investors be allowed to access their accounts and pull their money out? Watch what happens to Orc nation when that happens. I wonder what the price of oil will be when all of it has to be pumped to pay off the rebuilding of Ukraine? And if Russia does not pay for it, how Russia will survive decades of sanctions? Probably about as well as North Korea.

when it opens up its stock market and all those investors pull out, the Great Depression will look like a Roman Holiday. What you and the other Orcs refuse to grasp is that Russia never has been and never will be in control of the worlds biggest markets. It never will equal the US or even China at this point. Russia is the Somalia of Eurasia. For centuries Russia has been showing the world how to fvck up a wet dream. A complete waste of natural resources and human capital. It is a disgrace.
