You're way better off. Trust me. A person who abandons you at in your darkest hour is nothing but a taker and not worth your attentions. If she didn't backstab you now, she would have done it eventually anyways. She's most probably a cheat, too. What you need to do now is concentrate on you and you alone. You can build a much better life for yourself, now that your baggage has returned to her true nature. Think of this as a big plus, not as a determinant. This was meant to happen, so you can improve your own life.

I've been through two major break ups in 2016 (after 7 years) and in August of 2020 (after 3 years) both left me more or less suicidal. I considered suicide by diving into Lake Michigan with all my fishing equipment & no PFD. If you want someone to talk to, HMU and I'd be more than happy to talk. I don't want this to come off as a condescending way, but like I never had an actual father & can empathize with your position. Have you considered getting high (on weed, not alcohol or hard drugs) and picking up a new hobby you always had in the back of your mind? You got a second bitch in mind? Why not combine the two?

She seems to have regrets. I don't know how committed she really is to the idea of separation. Taking its slow and letting things pan out. We are still friendly with each other, talk. I feel a lot better than I did, but I don't really know what to think right now.
For now, I let her keep sleeping in our bedroom and I have been sleeping in the basement, which I don't really mind at all because it's always been my mancave, I have a PC, bed, couch xbox/TV, decorated my way, comfortable down here, the cats have followed me down here and chill with me. Made chicken breasts on hamburger buns for dinner, ate with her, she seems sad. I made a loaf of bread, while I was cutting myself a slice she started crying, I consoled her. Then I left her alone to have her space, I'm chilling eating my bread sitting with my kitty's.
I appreciate all your advice guys, I have to give this situation some careful consideration.
