2021-11-03 at 8:02 AM UTCTonight's feature firearm is the CORE Rifles CORE® Truck Gun 300 Blackout. This is an AR15 chambered in AAC .300 Blackout featuring a 7.5" 1:7 Twist 4150 Black Nitride Govt. Profile Barrel. Under the ATFEs' regulation this is not a rifle, it is a pistol.
I have found it to be very accurate on a 4 inch AR500 hanging gong at 60 meters off hand and out to 200 meters on a 14 inch torso silhouette gong. Prone of course greatly increases accuracy at longer ranges. If you're not sure what is meant by off hand when shooting it simply means from a standing unsupported position with buttstock firmly in the shoulder of your dominate side as pictured in the image below.
The are mainly two reason 4 out of my 5 AR firearms are from CORE Rifle Systems. The first reason I buy CORE Rifles is they are made in America by a veteran owned and operated company which sells it's firearms at a very competitive price.
The second is their awesome warranty. It is like the old Craftsman Tools warranty back when Sears was still a thing. In part it reads:"If anything is not up to your standard, accuracy included, if anything goes wrong, gets bent, broken, cracked, misaligned, tweaked, snapped or otherwise, simply contact one of our professionals and we will work to make it right. If you are the 5th owner and the rifle has seen 40k+ rounds, it simply… doesn’t… matter. We stand behind our products and we take care of our customers. That is our promise and your assurance."

As for the cartridge itself I find the .300 Blackout to pack a real wallop even with the subsonic loads. There was an steel reinforced concrete washtub left on the property by the previous owner (he was an old hoarder). Most calibers would not pen it with the exception of .308/7.62 NATO and .458 SOCOM. Both of those made fairly clean holes through both sides. The .300 Blackout moves much slower than either of those and dumped most of it's energy on impact. Which caused large chunks of the impacted side to shattered into small gravel sized pieces. It is also one of the three calibers I own that will reliably shoot through the passenger area of the two junk cars I towed out on the range with the tractor.
Here are a couple of pictures of my Truck Gun.
The pistol brace (some would mistakenly call it a buttstock but everyone knows pistols don't have buttstocks so that is goofy) extends and collapses about 4 or 5 inches. As stated above and shown below this is not a buttstock but indeed a forearm pistol brace.
CORE Rifle Systems makes AR rifles and pistols in many different calibers and barrel lengths. If you find yourself in the market for for an AR firearm I feel you can't go wrong with CORE. -
