Maybe a few of you have seen this channel before maybe not.

Matt is not exactly scientific but his videos are entertaining and over the years he has shot some pretty cool targets. I missed this video (not that I watch all of his stuff) but I found it interesting as I just purchased the FK BRNO PSD about 4 months ago. It was a bit pricey at $1,650.00 but a steal compared to the FK BRNO Field Pistol at $7,500.00.

They nearly identical with the main difference being the frame. The Field Pistol has a steel frame while the PSD is a polymer frame. Which of course makes the PSD lighter. The Field pistols comes in at 45.85615 oz. (1300 grams) empty while the PSD is 38.80136 (1100 grams) oz. or about 1/2 pound lighter. The barrel lengths are also slightly different. The Field Pistol's barrel is 5.98425 inches (152mm) while the PSD is just a bit shorter at 5.35433 inches. With overall lengths of 9.44882 inches (240mm) for the Field Pistol and 9.17323 inches (233mm) for the PSD.

The last minor difference is that the Field Pistol has a 15 round capacity for 7.5 FK rounds while the PSD is 10 rounds of 10mm or S&W .40, 16 for FK 7.5, and 17 for 9x19mm. Which brings up the major difference between the two besides price. The Field Pistol fires the FK 7.5 only while the PSD fires the FK7.5 and comes with one of two auxiliary barrels chambers for either 9x19mm or 10mm/S&W .40. I ordered mine with both auxiliary barrels for an extra $490.00. The PSD uses the same magazine for 7.5 FK, 10mm, and S&W .40 and a different one for 9x19mm.

In my opinion it is just a little to large and heavy for EDC in a normal civilian self defense situation. But the recoil is very manageable due a low-profile slide, which provides a low bore axis. But with the proper holster (I have not found one for it I like yet) it could be open carried easily. The upside is if you are a good enough shot you can effectively engage threats at 100 meters or more with a pistol.

The platform was developed from a need that arose with private security forces in the middle east who were escorting high profile targets in urban areas. They were being engaged at ranges of 100 to 150 meters by AK-47's and were hopelessly out matched carrying standard side arms such as the 9x19mm or .45 ACP. They needed a pistol that could be carried in a limo or other civilian escort vehicles that could "shoot like a rifle". The round and the weapon were developed together. There are currently four different "flavors" of FK 7.5 ammo.

F9: All copper monolithic wide meplat flat nose. This bullet is designed to create a wide and very deep permanent wound channel in addition to a very high dynamic shock effect. Accurate and effective for defense and medium game hunting up to 300 lbs to 100 yards, and dangerous game up to 500 lbs to 50 yards.

S95: Jacketed Hollow point made by Sierra bullets exclusively for FKB, it is designed to explode and shatter on impact. This bullet makes huge, but shallower wound channels than the other versions. Accurate and effective for defence and medium game hunting up to 100 lbs at 100 yards.

F5: All copper, monolithic nose discarding hollow point. The nose is designed to break off on impact, leaving a jagged 7mm meplat to create a large deep penetrating wound channel and a High Terminal Effect. Accurate and effective for defence and medium game hunting up to 200 lbs to 100 yards.

F7: All copper, monolithic spoon tip. This bullet is designed to tumble after the initial impact and penetration, creating a very large eliptical and deep penetrating wound channel. Accurate and effective for tactical use up to 150 yards and dangerous game hunting up to 500 lbs to 50 yards.

Below is a chart comparing the F9, S95, and F5 with other common pistol rounds. Unfortunately I can't find similar info on the F7 just like I can't find the actual round for sale right now. But I do know the F7 is the most powerful of the four.

I know there are the trolls who will try their best to shit on this post and me. I don't care. It's a cool pistol that will fuck up a bad guys day at a long range. While I don't carry on my body I do carry it in my vehicle on day trips or weekend getaways. I buy most of my holsters from Craft Holsters because they are well made, made to order, from a small business (him and his wife), and the customer service is second to none. I am going to try to talk him into setting up to make holsters for the FK 7.5 PSD or perhaps talk him into making a custom cross draw holster just for me. He only charges about $165 for his most expensive holster which are his shoulder rigs. If I can get him to work with me I would gladly pay him $300.

Illinois Gun and Ammo Taxes ruled Unconstitutional!.. State Supreme Court backs 2nd Amendment!

Another victory for the American people and another defeat for the tyrants. These assholes were taxing $25.00 on every firearm sale, $0.05 on every round of centerfire, and $0.01 and every round of rimfire.

In a 6-0 decision, Supreme Court Justice Mary Jane Theis wrote in an opinion filed Thursday the county’s firearm and ammunition tax ordinances violate the constitution’s uniformity clause, and the taxes “impose a burden on the exercise of a fundamental right protected by the second amendment.”
“While the taxes do not directly burden a law-abiding citizen’s right to use a firearm for self-defense, they do directly burden a law-abiding citizen’s right to acquire a firearm and the necessary ammunition for self-defense,” Theis wrote.

“Under the plain language of the ordinances, the revenue generated from the firearm tax is not directed to any fund or program specifically related to curbing the cost of gun violence,” she wrote.
“Additionally, nothing in the ordinance indicates that the proceeds generated from the ammunition tax must be specifically directed to initiatives aimed at reducing gun violence. Thus, we hold the tax ordinances are unconstitutional under the uniformity clause.”

Chief Justice Anne Burke was too much of a chicken shit to vote against the rest of the court so she took a powder and sat this one out. Justice Michael Burke felt the ruling did not go far enough as it "leaves space for a municipality to enact a future tax — singling out guns and ammunition sales..."

Guns that fire 4 different calibers from just 2 barrels and 2 magazines don't fit your silly scenario.

this is what happens when you bear arms both large and small to protect and serve a government that only allows its citizen to bear small, insignificant, inconsequential arms.

Here is an example of why people who watch mainstream media are so misinformed. This CNN legal beagle lies with his mouth about the words on the screen behind. Yet his viewers ignore what is right in front of their eyes and nod their heads in agreement to his lie.

It does not say "state militias". It states a well regulated militia is necessary for the security of a free state.

Regulated does not mean regulations which restrict or define a militia. Well regulated means well equipped.

These charlatans take two words that do not appear next to one another (state and militia). They then put them next to one another. This completely changes the meaning of the entire Amendment.

In the actual wording the phrase "well regulated" is an adjective describing the noun militia. The word Stae is also a noun described by the adjective free.

In his rearranged version state becomes and adjective to describe the noun militia.

After creating a lie with not so clever manipulation of the actual text he then proceeds to prove, based on his lie, that the people do not have a right to keep and bear arms.

What he can't explain is this. If, as he argues, the wnd amendment was designed to make sure government controlled militias could keep and bear arms why is "shall not be infringed" included?

Is he arguing that the founders were worried that the people would pass laws taking guns from the government?

If a person can't see through this bullshit they deserve what ever form a slavery their masters see fit to bestow upon them.

Body armor is also not a scenario you're likely to run into "every day", so it is kinda weird that the Five Seven is your EDC. Not saying it's a bad choice or anything (bullets is bullets), just weird.

The tokarev will too. Certain types of 10mm ammunition have I think but they higher velocity, lighter weight solid copper rounds.
