Sydney: Army to enforce lockdown

Actually our company is right now doing BETTER than out competitors who use china/Taiwan etc to build there shit...because of the port delays.

We've had dozens of new customers come to us because "You guys are the only ones who have stock of anything!"

I talked to a guy yesterday and he said "How long would it take you to ship 30 of the xxxx" I told him "maybe 2 weeks"...he was FLABagasted..."2 weeks!!! wow, everyone else is telling me 20 weeks +.

Interesting. Your viability is held up by completely ignoring safety regulations and instead providing products to customers quickly using your local manufacturing instead of relying on international shipping.

It's almost like a boeing situation "fuck the regulations... we got orders to fill!" The only thing that could stop you is a disastrous litigation from a faulty fake certified product. But you probably make so much money now to afford a good defense and be able to easily withstand such a situation.

Truly an example of persistent capitalism. America is really like the wild west sometimes, that shit would never fly here, too much regulation. Pretty sure you can't do that here you would HAVE to pay that 3.6k to sell the product and it would cost more and there would be a bunch of other fees you have to pay too.

It's very irritating, expensive and slow to operate in a regulatory environment so I can see why a company would want to avoid that, making money is easier than following stupid regulation BS but sometimes that's the only option to make money is playing along
  4. breaking the law is also expensive, high risk high reward

My point was you can become your own auditors…FACT.

We looked into it ourselves FACT

If we had gone ahead I can guarantee saftey WOULD have been compromised at some point FACT

    Self certification is a joke.

Again 14yrs experience just at this company with UL/TUV/ETL (we've used all 3). As it is ALL 3 are a joke, it's easy to get around their "criteria"

Example: We have a product that uses a long obsolete relay…the UL product certifications calls for that particular relay to be used. Now we could pay $3600 or whatever the fee currently is to get the file revised to specify a new relay..but we don't want to pay 3.6k for UL/ETL to erase the old part number and write in the new one.

…so how do we get around that? I have a board with the old relay on it…when the inspector comes and asks to check the critical components…I give him that board.

    im not disputing your point.

im disputing the point of safety marks according to you.

you brazenly claimed appliances with safety marks arent safe, this is true and im not disputing it.

what im saying is the reason people buy aplliances with safety marks is not for their safety. it is to hedge their liabilities if and when shits happen.

    you yes understand now ?

I like seeing trippy logos all over stuff. They fascinated me as a child. IF I made a product I would put fake logos that are actually codes to a puzzle on the corporate website and if you were autistic enough and figured it out we would give you a prize or hire you or something

No I didn't, I said the presumption they are safe simply because they have a sticker on is a joke.

Yes that's true, but not relevant to the purpose of saftey certification.

    doesnt mean its safe.

No, those procedures are not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration.

no one here ever said this wasnt the case.

depends on who you are and what purposes the appliances are for.

bussinesses need appliances and devices with these marks strictly to disclaim liabilities on their part. does your boss provide you and other workers with safety certified instrument/tool/appliances or just anything cheap that could get the job done.

No one has to say it for me to verbalize it.

yes the labels are needed...again labels indicate the equipment was tested to a certain saftey standard...that's the bit that's a lie...the only unit that was tested to that standard was the submitted sample...NOT production units which can vary significantly from the sample.

Even if you get caught building out of spec all they do is give you a "variance" report and tell yo to fix it within 90 days..that's it.

El Joke-o as they say in Spain.

It's basically a massive money making scam for the certification companies...the labels for example...$1.10 EACH for a fucking 1" x 2" label which probably cost them 2 cents to make.

Imagine how corrupt and evil you'd have to spread conspiracy theories contrary to science to oppose vaccines, the most important medical advance of the modern age that have saved countless millions from suffering and dying at the hands of cruel diseases.

You'd have to be as evil and corrupt as Andrew Wakefield.
