The CIA, the FBI and Mossad needed a way they could get into everyone's computers to spy on them, so they bought out McAfee and paid him off and hijacked his company, then fed malware and backdoors into people's computers for decades using the McAfee software update mechanisms as delivery systems. But McAfee started to feel guilty as hell for what he'd done and agreed to, and he turned on them and tried to start life anew with a clean conscience. Of course, the goons didn't like that, and they knew he could spill the beans on all of them at any time.
