So have I...and have been following it since the first commercial generation back in the 80s.
Bigscreen is old news, I would read and watch stuff about it back when I was living in hotels years ago.

You don’t even know what MTBS3D is
    Fucking plebe

Again...what's the relevance of who knew about it first? That's like saying "uhhh I was using windows 1 beta so I know more about windows 10 than you"...

    Fucking idiot...lololol

I was USING VR before you was born lololol, and have since been following it's progress...again while you were still shitting in your diapers.

    ...again relevance to the present??

You're still fucking with that DK and Occlus Go hahaha....

It’s very ignorant to compare modern VR to pre 2010s vr, they’re not even the same thing really.
Fact is I’ve been into this (modern vr ) long before you.
I can’t stand posers like you, if it weren’t for Facebook buying Oculus you wouldn’t even be interested.

You're dumb as a rock if you believe that haha.

Again, I've been following it since the 80s, every step of progress...so how exactly could you be into it before me???? duh..

I can’t stand posers like you, if it weren’t for Facebook buying Oculus you wouldn’t even be interested.

They irony...I couldn't care less who owns the company...only a Poser would.

I buy based on the performance vs price ratio, I have no brand loyalty...when what I deem a better headset comes out I'll buy it, when the price of the HTC vive or a new iteration of it drops to $500, I'll get one of those. ETA: A wireless version with no lighthouses...wired headsets are old technology.

    Performance and price nigger...not brand.

Warez, a jewish scene for normies

And yes I know about VR from the 60s and 90s, those have no relation to what Palmer started, totally different things.

    Did they have positional tracking?
What sort of optics did they use?
We’re these hmds that could be tethered to a personal computer?

    The technology is completely different.
This is like you trying to compare Usenet image groups to imageboards.

is it possible to learn a language from a book or is interaction mandatory?

The best way imo to learn a language is to have a multi-faceted approach. Start with a basic language learning book. Then go download some childrens books in the language and read them; add any words that you don't know to your vocab. Keep learning the book. Then add music to the mix. Start with basic songs to hear the language, then go ahead and read the lyrics as you listen to the music, and eventually sing along with the music while you read the lyrics and hear the words all at the same time. Start watching some media in Russian, start with kids cartoons, then move up to stuff marketed to teens, etc. etc. etc. As the amount of vocab, expressions, and etc. will increase from stuff to kids to other.

You can substitute interaction by using the music method mentioned above, but in order to really become more fluid and dynamic, you will need to interact. Interaction should be easy though, can be online, and Russian language speakers are everywhere.

p.s. the point of the music approach is to hear, read, and speak the language all at once. you can try to sound it out as the native speaker in the music does, though beware that words often time get dragged out, etc. in music.

    Hmm that’s an interesting take
I never thought about starting with children’s media

I mean, how do people learn a language? Do they start out with a 1000 page book of dense text and nothing more? To this day I remember about how "Sam and Pam crossed the street" while learning English. "This is a pot, and this is a pan".

When did you start learning English?

From about age 7 or 8. I was always told that I will go to USA, and that I must speak English well.
