Saying that you are hearing voices in your head is just a way of conveying that you weren't hearing your own internal monologue, but actually heard what sounded like real voices from real people that weren't actually there.
I hear my internal monologue, and i can replay memories with sound and visuals, and i can construct sounds and scenes by mixing and matching memories to create something new.

I have two, one is my "normal" logical voice/thought process and more optimistic, like "hey we should do this (insert productive thing here) it would be good for us" and then the other one is still my own voice except mocking and angry going "fuck that, you can't do that you fucking loser, kill yourself" etc etc and basically those two just argue with each other all fucking day over the tiniest of issues. -

What do I know though? I just do what my ancestors did and feel it works for me. I'm not pushing a religion while simultaneously pushing religious rites. -
