I was thinking about why as a result of the video you posted, and watching other videos on that channel.
I decided it was because basically all the characters in VTMB welcome you in and treat you incredibly warmly. Even the Camarilla Prince who beheads your sire wants to be your best friend. So do the anarchs, whatever clan you are a member of, and basically everyone else. Even the hookers and security guards are all like "hi, welcome, you're so important, how are you feeling, what can we do for you". The chads all want to know you and the sluts all instantly want to sleep with you.
It also has a cool street setting. So it's cool and on the street, yet everyone is warm and welcoming. Who wouldn't love that?
Skyrim played a similar trick. You were Dragonborn, everyone wanted to be your friend. It's such a simple trick to play. -

It was complicated to say the least. I can't share details, unfortunately, but it worked out OK for everyone involved I think. Or at least for me, which is all I care about. I have to live with myself everyday, while everyone else involved I don't even have to even think about. Worrying only about what matters to you is a good rule. -

I never played Starfield, but seems like the Outer Worlds. Both rely on being cringe tier-clever to be successful. Oh yeah, who ever thought of doing a send up of capitalism THAT IS SO CLEVER.
