Has anyone here ever been in a poly relationship or would you be willing to be in one?
I’ve never understood being upset over the person you’re with sleeping with someone else. If you agree to be exclusive to each other and then they sleep with someone else behind your back I can get being pissed over that. But I’d be completely fine with them just dating or sleeping with someone else while we were together.
Me and my girlfriend were in an open relationship and she got a boyfriend, even though we were semi‐separated at the time we would talk on the phone and stuff. I would talk to him on the phone too and we became friends with each other. We never dated or met irl but at some points I felt closer to him than I did my girlfriend.

I think it would just feel awkward knowing your partner was sucking and fucking other cock when she wasn't at home, or pussy, whatever. I mean I get it. I had a former boss who was in a relationship where they didn't necessarily date other people but if they wanted to fuck someone else they just had to get permission, or sometimes even just bring them home for a threesome.

I don't know I suppose it boils down to feeling an emotional connection with someone on a deeper level that involves more than just sex, and then also wanting to fuck other people because the same penis or vagina forever is kinda boring.

That's probably why an open relationship isn't for everyone and really isn't that common. I wonder how many people are in relationships where both people are cheating on each other and they have to go around with that anxiety and whatnot when you're trying to get away with things, making up lies, etc., when all they'd have to do was tell each other they like to have a little side sex and everyone would be that much happier.
