ive never ehard of anyone going down for software piracy or being arrested for it befor eyou came up with that article jig. another example...about ummm 20yrs ago or so I used to hack Direct TV and belonged to a group that released scripts to get free TV.
MANY of those guys ended up with big fines or jail time. A close friend of mine at the time got a $5k fine for it. The choice was pay it or go to court and face a bigger fine and jail time...he paid it.
